Avonite Countertops
Avonite is a type of material, which is soft to be moulded in any desired design. These kinds of materials are used to prepare countertops, which are used for many purposes. Avonite is a mixture of mineral fillers and polyster resins or even acrylic. It is a non-porous material that is homogeneous and scratch proof. Avonite gives a look of stone but, is has the resistance of the wood. This gives a very attractive and beautiful look to the countertop. It is easy for shaping for the countertops.
There are various types of usage of Avonite that are in regular use in the daily items. There are uses other than the countertops though countertops contributing to a larger percentage of usage of this material. Avonite countertops have given a luxurious and expensive outlook to many places.
Countertops:
Countertops are used to cover the tabletops at various places. In kitchens, dining furnishings, drawing room etc. These are available in various shapes, sizes, designs, textures, and colors. A special care needs to be taken for these countertops so as to save them from physical damage, chemical erosion and natural corrosion. Various materials are used to produce different types of counter tops. It has become a regular commodity to install the various countertops in different styles, designs and even different types of stones and materials. If a person wants to have a very different design in the countertops, different materials, which can be used to give the desired shape, are used. Various materials that are used which are moldable in the desired form are wood, granite, marble etc. These materials are sometimes heavy and are used in offices where not many fashionable designs are desired by the client. Though much more care has to be taken of the designed countertops, the overall care is desired for any type of countertop. These materials are naturally soft and hence can be given any desired shape without much effort. Some materials cannot be absolutely molded in any form. These materials are directly used in their original form. The physical damage as well as the natural weather can cause the various countertops to develop cracks Inspite of the material used.
