They are a bit bulkier than the bypass pruners thus are not given preference over the bypass pruners. The last one is the ratchet pruner. This is similar to the anvil pruners in structure but differs in their action. They actually perform the cutting operation in stages. Ratchet pruners offer great leverage to the hands especially if they are weaker. They even save energy and prevent a person from straining while carrying out gardening for a longer duration. Various people have varied choice in terms of the garden pruners, which is based on their comfort level with the particular type of garden pruner.

Usage of the pruner
