About MTD:

Modern Tool and Die Co. in short known as MTD is a largest manufacturer of variety of products. In 1932 it was founded as a supplier to the local manufacturing community in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1958 MTD started a lawn and garden equipment business with the production of 18" power rotary mower. This further expanded into manufacturing of lawn mowers, garden tractors and other power equipments. MTD has partnered with many other companies like the Troy-Bilt and Bolens, McCulloch and Yardman. It also purchased Sehl Engineering Ltd. In 1962, this is now known as MTD Canada.

MTD manufactures Lawn mowers, Lawn Tractors, Other garden equipments and Snow throwers. It also manufactures variety of parts, accessories and tools needed for mower decks. MTD accessories include Furrowers, Bumpers, Snow ploughs, etc. MTD Baggers include Grass Catchers and Bagging Systems for MTD Riding Lawn Mowers & Tractors.
