The basic purpose of refrigeration is to achieve cooling for the preservation of eatables and other commodities. It works by extracting heat from a high temperature zone and rejecting that to the ambient space. The more distinct definition of a freezer would be a device which maintains a temperature below the freezing point of water. Therefore, freezers keep their contents frozen at around 0 degrees F.

Working

It consists of components as a compressor, evaporating coils, throttle (expansion) valve, condenser and a refrigerant as a cooling medium. The compressor compresses the refrigerant to pressurize it to a super-heated stage. The coils let the hot refrigerant gas to dissipate the heat. The ammonia gas condenses into ammonia liquid at high pressure. The high-pressure ammonia liquid flows through the expansion valve. The liquid ammonia then immediately boils and vaporizes to -27 F making the inside of the refrigerator cold. The cold ammonia gas is then sucked by the compressor and the complete is repeated.

Tips for buying commercial freezer

1.) The user should figure out the exact purpose for buying a commercial freezer. The exact item or food-item to be refrigerated should determine the type of freezer being bought.

2.) The freezer should be bought keeping in mind the quantity of items it would be required to preserve. A huge family must have a bulky and sturdy refrigerator that will tend to their daily needs.

3.) Space available at home/shopping establishments also governs the type and size of refrigerator to be bought. An upright freezer may take up more space as compared to chest freezer.

4.) Freezer should tend to the family budget of normal electricity bills. If a freezer/refrigerator is heavy-duty or somewhat defective in operation, it will tend to consume more electric power and hence be a burden on the family's pocket.

5.) Chest freezers should be considered because they are energy efficient, less expensive and can retain cooling for a long time even after power outage.

6.) Upright freezers also score heavily as they have lighted interiors, separate shelves and are more organized in structure.

7.) The buyer must always compare the features, services and installation traits of two or three well known companies in this regard. This way they can get the best feature as desired according to their usage.
