Ladders are devices that workers use to step up or gain access to elevated surfaces. There are several basic types of ladders available in the market. Some of them are rope ladders and rigid ladders. Extension ladders are divided into two or more lengths for convenient storage and transportation. Marine ladders and dock ladders are made from materials that can resist corrosion, such as stainless steel or anodized aluminum.
Types of Dock Ladder
All dock ladders should be rated for 665 lbs. per rung and the width is approximately 21 inches wide and was made from marine grade aluminum. The ladder size can vary from three stepladders to seven stepladders. Ladder length is the access to and from the water. It is easier to use the ladder that with at least two to three rungs into the water. The depth of the water determines the maximum length of the ladder.
