Zen And The Art Of Garden Fountains

Zen garden fountains can truly liven up a traditional garden and provide a look that is difficult to duplicate. Part of the reason for this is that when a Zen garden fountain is introduced to a garden, there must be a complete overhaul of the garden in order to make the Zen garden fountain properly fit in. This may sound like a lot of work, but it is ultimately worthwhile, as the end product will have a visual allure to it that other styles would have a difficult time duplicating.

The Depth Of Zen And Zen Garden Fountains

One of the better ways to make a garden look like something special is to try and give the garden an exotic look. (This is the primary purpose of the Zen garden fountain) One such exotic look that has become wildly popular is allowing the garden to embody what is known as a "Zen" look. Now, for some, Zen has been reduced to an often-repeated clich that is defined on the very superficial level as an eastern religious transplant that has a certain appealing look. While it is true that Zen-like symbols have an appealing look (if their look was not appealing, Zen would not have taken off in the western world to the degree that it has). However, many Zen inspired imagery are considered strictly visual imagery. This is unfortunate as there is a spirituality that lies under the surface of the external appearance that most people do not realize is there.

When something has an underlying value, that value eventually finds its way to other entities. This is the ultimate value of Zen garden fountains. The presence of such fountains changes the entire mood of the environment in which it is placed and this change expands beyond the immediate vicinity and encapsulates the surrounding area. In other words, the positive benefits that the garden fountain embodies spread beyond the backyard and reflects upon your home as well. In a way, the inclusion of the fountain adds to the equity of the home in an indirect manner. That, in and of itself, is quite an endorsement.

This, of course, does not mean that the inclusion of any fountain will automatically have a positive effect as it will be critical that the proper fountain be matched with a home that its appearance doesn't clash with. If a decent match is made, however, the positives are endless and the inclusion of a Zen garden fountain is highly recommended.
